The fund received and reinvested a dividend from Apple. The fund now has 0.5% more shares of Apple. The fund also increased its value by 0.1% with this dividend.
Dividend reinvestment continues to be a source of building wealth. Each dividend received and reinvested allows for higher dividends in the future.
