More shares in Powershares BAB Fund bought

More shares in Powershares Build America Bond Fund were purchased. This doubles the position for KDK Fund. The monthly dividend will now increase at a faster pace as dividend reinvestment for BAB is still in place.

The next purchase will happen in the next 4-6 weeks. Candidates include Ford and others.

Week 5/1 In Review (Dividends from PMT, T, GE, BAB, CTF, more)

There were no purchases or sales during the week. The next purchase will be in the next 1-2 weeks. Candidates include Nuveen CTF, and others.

Dividends were received and reinvested from GE, Nuveen CTF, AT&T, and Powershares Build America Bond Fund. It was the best week of dividends ever for the fund in terms of dollars received. The week's dividends amounted to 10% of a normal purchase.

Dividends from shares purchased through reinvested dividends have made up 2% of dividends received for the year.

Dividends Received from Nuveen CTF and Powershares BAB

KDK Fund has received dividends from Nuveen and Powershares BAB. Both dividends have been reinvested for free. Nuveen Commodity Long/Short Fund paid $0.135 per share. Powershares paid out $0.115 per share.

Dividends are an important part of building wealth for the fund. Because of dividend reinvestment, the account is seeing regular increases in dividend receipts.

The next dividend receipt is expected next week from GE.

- GE raises its quarterly dividend from $0.23 per share to $0.24 per share starting in January 2015. Story link here.

Dividend Received by Powershares Build America Bond Fund

On Friday, the fund received a monthly dividend from Powershares BAB fund. The dividend was reinvested for free. Because of the compounding effect of dividend reinvestment, this month's dividend was 4% than last months.

Dividends now count for 1.9% of the capital invested in Powershares Build America Bond Fund. Dividends now count for 1.9% of the capital invested in KDK Fund. They will continue to be reinvested to grow the fund's capital base.
